2. Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Job description

He/ she will be focusing on the following duties;
– Responsible for the Monitoring and Evaluation of the projects implemented under SPIU, and provide guidance in terms of Monitoring and Evaluation;
– Support the Technical Committee, with the support of the One UN and other partners’ Monitoring and Evaluation Task Force; develop an M&E Plan to accompany the program Action Plans;
– Prepare necessary M&E forms, database, and format to capture data and information from the field;
– Responsible for the collection, compilation, checking, sorting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data on ongoing field activities according to the reporting guidelines of partners;
– Work closely with Program Managers; assess the performance of the Reporting and M&E Systems;
– Develop appropriate and sufficient monitoring and reporting tools for the program;

3. Audio-Visual Production Officer

Job description

Assignments
– Telling the stories of ministry in video, photographic or audio format;
– Ensure accurate and good quality capture of ministry’s activities in video, photographic or audio format for use across various platforms (broadcast, digital);
– Perform custom and specialized photography in the house or on location using a variety of filming and photographic equipment; camera setting, lighting requirements, and other specifications to ensure quality production of content on various platforms channels;
– Produce, direct and edit documentaries or any required audio-visual productions for ministry’s communication activities;
– Assist with media duplications: copy DVDs, print DVD faces, transfer multi- platform tape to DVD, encode video files, etc;
– Assume additional responsibilities as assigned

4. SPIU Coordinator

Job description

He/She will mostly focus on the following tasks:

– Coordinate the Ministry’s projects for youth socio-economic transformation
– Lead the projects in planning and implementation process and executing, monitoring and control and project staffing process to ensure the success of the project activities launching toward project closing within defined cost, time and resources constraints;
– Ensure good leadership for the organization and administration of the activities, ensure the project’s progress and meet deadlines. Ensure quality and delivery of the finalized report to the public as well as make sure on the appropriate channel to communicate information about project progress to the stakeholders and public.
– Enhance staff monitoring capacities, documenting project achievements, planning and implementation strategies, process, and dissemination of findings from monitoring and evaluation exercises and various project/program experiences or best practices.
– Provide strategic guidance and supervision of projects,
– Lead the provision and production of project needed materials and, guidelines and insuring quality and appropriate use;
– Supervise and coach teams directly in charge of projects to ensure the completion of each member’s tasks
– Supervise financial processes for all projects and safeguard the conformity of laws and regulations;
– Ensure accountability for both technical and financial management of the project and ensure that the agreed funds are received in time for the implementation of project activities.
– Ensure the organization of external evaluation and timely program reviews.
– Lead resource mobilization for the Ministry.
– Be involved in official missions discussing the integration and ownership of project activities at decentralized entities through Youth Friendly Centres and other decentralized structures.
– Help in initiating a baseline of information that will guide the development of the targeted interventions of the overall programme/projects implementation
– Update the results framework of the projects.
– Ensure interaction between projects and other partners that intervene at all levels and serve as liaison coordinator between the Ministry and its partners.
– Ensure smooth technical collaboration of SPIU and other relevant Ministry departments.

7. Community Engagement Specialist

Job description

Under direct supervision of the Kimisagara Center Coordination Program, He/She is responsible for designing, developing, promoting, and implementation all initiatives related to youth opportunities for self-employment with exception of the YouthConnekt initiative

– Coordinate the national youth mobilization for community engagement and civic participation;
– Develop mechanisms and mobilization strategies for youth ethics and values nurturing;
– Develop mechanisms and strategies for risk behavior prevention;
– Coordinate and develop mechanisms to promote the culture of volunteerism among youth;
– Coordinate the joint planning for the Youth Social and ethics empowerment programs.
– Promote volunteering (internally and externally) through public strategies and campaigns;
– Promotes youth participation in the community voluntary work through diverse, educational, and productive work assignments;
– Coordinate youth decentralization and empowerment
– Designing and strengthening strong coordination mechanisms;
– Coordinate and follow up youth projects in decentralized entities (such as one model income project in the village)
– Advocating, developing, Coordinating, following – up programs of youth centers
– Reinforcing the relationship with the training centers and establish the training schedules in collaboration with friendly Centre coordinators;
– Advocating and ensuring youth is participating in the whole process of their empowerment;
