Are you ready to begin your higher education journey in Rwanda? Both the University of Rwanda (UR) and Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) have important updates for students applying for the 2025/2026 Academic Year.
📌 University of Rwanda (UR) – New Applications Open
Application Window: 5 – 18 September 2025
Programs: Undergraduate degree programs across all UR colleges.
Requirements:
Senior 6 (Advanced Level) certificate with principal passes.
National ID or valid passport.
Proof of payment for application fees.
How to Apply:
Visit the UR Student Portal 👉 ur.ac.rw
Click on “New Application.”
Fill in personal and academic details.
Choose your preferred program(s).
Upload documents, pay fees, and submit.

📌 Rwanda Polytechnic (RP) – Waiting List Updates
Main Call for Applications: Closed (March – April 2025).
Current Status: Admissions from the waiting list announced on 3rd September 2025.
What to Do Now:
Log in to RP MIS portal 👉 mis.rp.ac.rw/applications
Check your admission status.
Follow instructions if selected from the waiting list.
